Resource planets in Space provide you with that sector's Main planet native coin type, the three basic Eden resource types and accelerators.
Once a resource planet is mined to 100%, you may build an outpost there and continue (at a much slower rate, based on the fleet's energy) to extract resources from it through "Expropriation".
