There is a 8/12/16/20/24% chance to appear a dinosaur on each floor in the maze. Dinosaur Tamer Gumball can cast Taming Skill (ACTIVE) to tame this dinosaur (the lower this dinosaur's HP, the higher success rate. Lose 100/90/80/70/60 HP if failed)
In practice at skill level 5:
- Each floor, there is a 24% chance for a hostile dinosaur to appear
- Use the active skill for a chance to tame the dinosaur.
- Using the skill doesn't consume any kind of energy and can be done repeatedly
- Upon success, the hostile dinosaur disappears and you get a matching Dinosaur item.
- Upon failure, you loose 60 HP
- The lower the dinosaur's HP, the higher the success rate

Also:

- This attack even occurs on the rounds where their special attacks proc
- The damage done by this attack can be reduced by Physical Resistance
- Timed attacks are special attacks that do not have their damage reduced by Physical or Spell Resistance.
- Dinosaur allies are persistent and count toward the limit of 2 concurrent persistent allies.
- Dinosaur allies will follow you into normal caves

Taming chance depends primarily on r = dinosaur's HP / dinosaur's Max HP
- For r = 100% -> Taming chance = 10%
- For r <= 20% -> Taming chance = 100%
- Chance seems to increase linearly between the 2.
- Chance is increased significantly when Max HP is < 100
